COUNCIL BLUFFS COSMOPOLITAN CLUB COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

 

In 2019 the Council Bluffs Cosmopolitan Club established their scholarship program for graduating high school seniors with Type 1 diabetes.  Working through the SouthWest Iowa Education Foundation and with the support of the Council Bluffs community, we were able to offer two $1,000 scholarships. High School graduating Seniors with Type 1 Diabetes can apply for possible future scholarships by the normal procedure with the SouthWest Iowa Education Foundation.

Scholarships Awarded

2023/2024  Anna Braddy – Lewis Central High School – Anna will attend Sarah Lawrence College
Brady Jorgensen- Thomas Jefferson High School – College Plans undecided

2022/2023  Tyler Huey – Thomas Jefferson High School – Tyler will attend Briar Cliff University and study Kinesiology

2021/2022  Claire Hennessy – Logan High School – Claire will be attending Logan Magnolia

2020/2021 Aubrey Bortmess – Lewis Central High School – Aubrey will be attending California Baptist University.

2020/2021  Marcus (Trey) Gross – Harland High School – Marcus will be attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha with studies in Aviation.

2019/2020  Sophia Grassau – Glenwood High School will be attending Iowa Western College and pursue a Teaching Degree

2018/2019 Colin Bortmess – Lewis Central High School.  Colin will be attending Hope College and pursue a degree in Music and Worship Arts.

2018-2019 Cassandra Davis – Abraham Lincoln High School.  Cassandra will be attending Clarkson College majoring in Radiography.
